We care about the products that we design and produce. We have long-term relationships with all our suppliers, who all meet the Simmer Style trademark of high-end quality. Our team spends much time in the factories and on the factory floor. This relentless work reflects in our quality, with our zero-to-nothing warranty issues on our windsurfing sails and less than 1% warranty rate on our high-performance windsurfing boards.
 
However, as with all production, there may be hidden material defects on a particular piece. We work every day to limit the number of these defects. If there is a defect it will normally will break during the first few sessions and this is covered by the manufacturing defects warranty.
 
All Simmer Style sails, boards and accessories are guaranteed against manufacturing and material defects according to regulations in the country where it is purchased. The guarantee is only valid when the problem originates from recreational usage on the water, see terms and conditions below. Normal wear and tear is not guaranteed.
 
For warranty issues, contact your local dealer or online shop where the product has been purchased. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase on the original receipt.
 

The warranty is not valid for secondhand purchases.

Windsurfing Sails

2-Year Warranty 

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects for two years from the date of purchase. The guarantee is only valid when the problem originates from recreational sailing on water. Normal wear and tear is not guaranteed.

Hardware

2-Year Warranty 

Simmer masts, booms and extensions are covered by a 2-year warranty that covers manufacturing and material defects, valid from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not cover the following claim conditions:

  • Evident breakage due to rider error are not covered in the above.
  • The mast ferrul breaking due to the mast not being assembled correctly.
  • Mast stuck together at the joint are not deemed as warranty.
  • Aluminum booms bent upwards are evident breakage due to the catapult.

Foils

2-Year Warranty 

Simmer Style foils and foil components are covered by a 2-year warranty that covers manufacturing and material defects, valid from the date of purchase.

Boards

1-Year Warranty 

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects  for one years from the date of purchase or according the the according to regulations in the country where the board is purchased. The guarantee is only valid when the problem originates from recreational sailing on water. Normal wear and tear is not guaranteed.

Terms & Conditions

1) Damage or defects caused by impact with any materials or objects (incl. ramps and sliders).

2) Damage or defects caused by collisions, abuse, misuse or accidental damage.

3) Breakage or defects as a result of prior damages.

4) Damage or defects caused by transport, loading, unloading, dropping, or out of water handling.

5) Damage or defects caused by heel dents.

6) Damage or defects caused by non-recreational use.

7) Damage or defects caused by inappropriate storage or handling.

8) Damage or defects caused by exposure to temperatures over 50 C and under 0 C.

9) Damage or defects caused by natural events such floods, earthquake, fire, etc.

10) Damage or defects caused by alterations or modifications including the use of a larger fin than specified.

11) Damage or defects caused by repairs.

12) Damage or defects caused by usage of the board after a claim is reported.

13) Damage or defects caused by flat landings.

14) Damage or defects caused by improper mounting or adjustment of bindings or footstraps.

15) Any damage except manufacturing defects in material or workmanship.

16) Damage or defects caused by storage of the board in closed, damp conditions (for example a wet boardbag)

17) Damage or defects caused by impact with the sea floor.

18) Damage or defects caused by tampering and/or removing the Gore Tex air vent.

Disclaimer of Liability

WARNING

Windsurfing can be dangerous. Equipment can break and difficult conditions can develope quickly. Always sail with others and take appropriate precautions. Carbon masts are electrically conductive – do not go sailing in lightning storms or nears power lines. Always check the weather forecast before you go sailing to avoid unexpected conditions.
